You have a good 'front of house' team at BMC who have always been very helpful when I have spoken to them
It is important that anybody new to the area realises that this surgery deals with an eye-watering number of patients with a very limited resource. They make this work by establishing a system of protocols that some may find frustrating but when examined overall they are the only way to make the surgery work and in my opinion it does, magnificently. My Mum lived on her own in Birch for years and was fine but after she got a chest infection she went into a decline and I had to get her into respite care fast. I went to the surgery at 0900 Monday morning and queued for an emergency appointment, I was seen by a receptionist at 9.10, I told her it was important Mum had a home visit. The nurse called round at 1pm, diagnosed the problem and Mum was settled into Spencer House by 2pm. Everybody was kind, nobody was bureaucratic, everyone was professional. Thank you so much to all at the surgery for the fantastic job that you did for my Mum.
I would like to thank Dr Martin, Barbara and all the reception staff who helped us and our Grandson out today. They are the best. Thank you.
Website woefully out of date
There is a shortage of doctors.Fine when you get an appointment but a wait can be three weeks.
